Welcome, I am a multi-disciplinary artist who has drawn since I could hold a pencil at the age of four and began making simple things at the same time. My current work is informed by my curiosity about people, the human condition and language. The three main fields of my work are, painting, making and drawing.

People bring me odd pieces they find. The black painted upright piece was found on the shores of the Aegean Sea seven years ago. These pieces can lie around for a long time before they chime with something I am doing. It reminded me of the singularity of the human experience, which fitted with this piece. Working with old pieces of found wood can present problems, the biscuit is uneven, having to take away quite a lot of soft wood to get to the good but still retaining the thickness of the lower part which is good wood to hollow out the circle on the bottom to a depth of 1cm. The poem being read is an excerpt from “The Love Songs of J Alfred Prufrock” by T S Elliot
